The members at the meeting were Br. Jaime Campos and Br. Rufino Lim (the\nGeneral JPIC), Br. Alonso Morales (General Secretary for the Missions and\nEvangelization), Br. Francesco Zecca (Coordinator of the Youth sector of the\nNetwork), Br. Mark Ciantar (Coordinator of the Migrants sector of the Network),\nBr. Antonio Lembo (JPIC counselor of COMPI).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It took place in a very fraternal atmosphere. It was\nessential to specify the objectives and decisions made at the meeting in Malta\non September 6 \u2013 8, 2019, which was the meeting of the Secretaries of\nEvangelization and the JPIC animators that came from almost every Entity around\nthe Mediterranean Sea to reflect on the possibility of creating this\nsignificant Network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There was yet another gathering together with Marco\nBartoli and Valeria Gutierrez (representatives of the St. Egidio Community),\nMassimo De Maio (representative of the \u201cFare Verde [Green It]\u201d association) on the\nprevious day. The participants arrived at an idea of establishing a\ncollaborative relationship between the Franciscan Mediterranean Network and\nthe St. Egidio Community, to extend the \u201ccorridors\u201d in the Italian territory,\nprimarily through the Franciscan Entities in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nwork points were mainly three:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Organization of the\nNetwork: framework of coordination;<\/li><li>A structure of the\nindividual sectors (Youth, Migrants, Dialogue and Peace) and related\nactivities;<\/li><li>Internal and external\ncommunication of the Network\u2019s activities.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nday ended with feelings of gratitude and the desire to weave networks in the\nMediterranean to trigger new processes through the language of beauty and\nhospitality, against the culture of abandonment and exclusion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Br.\nAntonio Lembo, OFM<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>JPIC\nAnimator, Province of St. Michael Archangel<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Puglia Molise, Italy<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The first executive meeting of the Network was held at the General Curia.
