With the approval of his parents, the Franciscan Friars will take responsibility for the funeral of Nadab John, who served as an altar server at the Church of \u0120ie\u017cu in Valletta. He will also be laid to rest in the Franciscan Friars\u2019 graves at the Addolorata Cemetery. The funeral will take place on Friday, 24 July, at the Church of \u0120ie\u017cu in Valletta at 9.00am.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nadab John, who tragically passed away on Saturday 18th July, was part of a family of five: his 43-year-old parents, a younger sister, and a younger brother. Nadab arrived in Malta with his siblings six months ago after his parents had made many sacrifices to make this possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During a visit by the Minister Provincial Fr. Ramon Farrugia OFM and Fr. Arslan Masih OFM to Nadab John\u2019s family, the parents expressed their gratitude to the Franciscan Friars because, through Fr. Arslan, Nadab found a family at the Church of Ta\u2019 \u0120ie\u017cu. He was always eager to attend the altar servers\u2019 meetings and to serve. His parents said that after his investiture as an altar server, they saw remarkable changes in him. They had never seen him so happy before. Nadab felt that he had found people who listened to him and recognized the good in him. His father emphasized that, despite their immense suffering, he is at peace because he believes that through his investiture, God was preparing Nadab to meet Him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Franciscan Friars will take care of the funeral in faithful commitment to their vocation of serving these ethnic communities, accompanying them in their faith and being a family to them in times of need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Franciscan Friars invite everyone to attend this celebration of Nadab John\u2019s life. The funeral liturgy will be celebrated in Urdu, the language of the Pakistani community, but everyone\u2019s presence will be deeply appreciated as a concrete sign that we are all brothers and sisters in Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
