The artworks bring together important Gospel and Franciscan themes that reflect the values at the heart of our life and mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first theme is <strong>Service<\/strong>, inspired by <strong>Jesus washing the feet of his disciples<\/strong> and by the example of <strong>Saint Francis<\/strong>, reminding us that true authority and fraternity are expressed through humble service to one another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The second theme brings together <strong>Love and Mercy<\/strong>, represented through <strong>Saint Francis embracing the leper<\/strong> and <strong>Jesus showing compassion and mercy to the woman caught in adultery<\/strong>. Both scenes remind us of the call to recognise Christ in every person, particularly in those who are rejected, wounded or in need of compassion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the centre is the theme of <strong>Change<\/strong>, portrayed through the <strong>Conversion of Saul on the road to Damascus<\/strong>. Saul\u2019s encounter with Christ transformed his life and led him to become <strong>Saint Paul the Apostle<\/strong>, the Patron of our Franciscan Province.
