The Franciscan Province of San Pedro Bautista and the Franciscan Province of St. Paul the Apostle formally renewed their fraternal collaboration through the signing of Memoranda of Agreement, reaffirming a shared mission of service to the Church beyond borders.

The agreements focus on the pastoral mission of Fr. Andro Fernandez, OFM and Fr. Jhoan Pader, OFM, Filipino Franciscan friars currently serving in Malta. Their ministry is dedicated especially to the accompaniment of migrant Catholic communities, responding to the spiritual and pastoral needs of Filipino and other migrant faithful, while fostering fraternity within the local Maltese Franciscan communities.

The Memoranda were signed by Fr. Lino Gregorio V. Redoblado, OFM, Minister Provincial of the Province of San Pedro Bautista, and Fr. Anthony Chircop, OFM, Minister Provincial of the Maltese Province. The agreements clearly outline the friars’ pastoral responsibilities, fraternal integration, and the mutual commitments of both Provinces.

Rooted in the Franciscan values of fraternity, minority, obedience, and shared mission, this collaboration reflects the Order of Friars Minor’s continuing commitment to walk with communities at the margins and to serve the Church with generosity and solidarity—wherever the mission may lead.
