FEAST OF ST. CLARE

The feast of St. Clare of Assisi was celebrated on 11 August at the Poor Clares Monastery. The Minister Provincial was the main celebrant. During the homily he spoke about the link between the Canticle of Creatures and St. Clare who welcomed Francis to stay for a period of time at the monsstery of San Damiano in 1225, 800 years ago. It was there that Francis composed the Canticle of Creatures. At the end of the Mass the Mother Abbess Sr. Claire Agnes Scerri OSC thanked the benefactors present and promised the prayers of the sisters for all of them.
