Between 11-16 January 2026 eight friars were on retreat at Stella Maris retreat house in Żebbuġ, Gozo. The preacher was Br Massimo Travascio, from the Serafic Province of Assisi. The theme he chose was: God’s gaze that saves. He provoked reflection and prayer through Scriptural passages, like that of Zacchaeus, the sacrifice of Isaac and the resurrection narrative in the Gospel of John, and episodes from the life of St Francis. God’s look upon man saves and invites him for a mission.
