Br Godfrey (Anthony) Micallef returned to the house of the Father this morning at 5:00am at Mater Dei hospital. He was born in Rabat, Malta on 19 December 1931. He entered the novitiate in 1948 and did solemn profession on 28 December 1952. In April 1957 Br Godfrey was ordained as a priest. He ministered for many years to Maltese emigrants in Australia and Canada. Now that his journey on earth came to an end, may his soul live in eternal peace in the house of Our Father.
Father Godfrey was the Spiritual Director of our band the Maltese Queen of Victories Band of South Australia Inc. while serving the Maltese Community of SA as the Maltese Chaplain.
He is fondly remembered , may he rest in heavenly peace.
