On the 1st of July with the embellishment of the Friary’s façade, we marked the completion of the first phase of works at our Franciscan Friary in Valletta. Works included the replacement of dangerous ceilings, new skylights, restoration of corridors, fixing of new membrane, refurbishment of the Friary Cloister, the refurbishment of the Friary’s façade and main entrance, the refurbishment of the common areas of the Friary and the restoration of various works of art.
One of the main and most important works of this project was the removal of the dangerous ceiling of the main corridor and it’s reconstruction. This was fully funded by the Planning Authority’s Development Planning Fund – without which we wouldn’t have been able to make it, and who we thank for believing in our cause.
