On Sunday 29th September the Minister Provincial blessed a set of 4 new bells and 2 restored bells for our Ta’ Ġieżu Church in Valletta. The bells were made and restored by the Royal Eijsbouts Foundry of Asten in The Netherlands. They commemorate the 800 years Franciscan centenary celebrations of 2023-2026. On 30th September they were hoisted up to the historic bell tower of the church, designed by the architect Girolamo Cassar in 1575 and were solemnly rung for the feast of St Francis.
