Our Minister Provincial, Br. Ramon Farrugia OFM, met with members of the Vietnamese Catholic Community in Malta, who expressed their wish for our Province to accompany and support their community, just as it already serves the Maltese, Indian, Pakistani and Filipino Catholic communities in Malta.
The Franciscan Fraternity in Ħamrun was chosen to welcome and accompany the Vietnamese community. Today, the Minister Provincial, on behalf of the Province, together with Br. Walter Vassallo OFM, on behalf of the Ħamrun Fraternity, warmly welcomed the Vietnamese Catholic Community for their first Mass in our church in Ħamrun.
The Mass was presided over by our Vietnamese friar, Br. Giuseppe OFM, with Deacon Br. Vincent OFM assisting.
May our church in Ħamrun become a spiritual home for the Vietnamese Catholic Community, and may our fraternity become for them an extended Franciscan family.
