The Maltese Franciscan Province will be celebrating it’s Provincial Chapter between the 20th and the 24thJuly 2020. The theme of the Chapter is from Psalm 32:8 “I will instruct you and teach you the way you should go”.
37 Friars from OFM Friaries/Presences in Rabat, Valletta, Gozo, Sliema, Hamrun, Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq, the Peace Lab, Dar Frate Jacoba and the Lateran Fraternity in Rome will be gathered at the Franciscan Centre in Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq to pray, evaluate, discuss and also vote on issues that will shape the future of the Province. A new Administration, consisting of a new Minister Provincial, a Provincial Vicar and 4 members of the Provincial Definitorium, is expected to be elected on Tuesday 21st July.
The Chapter will be Presided by Fr. Jeffrey Scheeler OFM General Visitor. Please keep our Province in your prayers as we prepare to commence this important celebration.
